Jim Leishman to appear in Aladdin, Alhambra
Monday, 19th Dec 2011Dunfermline Athletic Legend Jim Leishman is set to appear in a cameo role in Aladdin at the Alhambra Theatre, oh yes he will! Jim is to appear in a cameo performance in a role written especially for him on 20th December.
Jim is looking forward to returning to the Alhambra stage following his successful role as Cheryl in last years pantomime Cinderella.
Jim said` I am delighted to be returning to the Alhambra stage in Aladdin. I love the pantomime atmosphere, and got a real flavour for it with the Alhambra panto last year.`
Expect gags and jokes aplenty as Mr. Dunfermline takes to the Alhambra stage once more!
The Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline is delighted to present the most mystical pantomime of all, Aladdin, which will run at the theatre from 14th to 24th December 2011. Aladdin, a classic Arabian fantasy jam-packed with music and dance, fun and laughter, bravery and love, a magic lamp, an incredible genie and the dream that Aladdin will marry his very own beautiful princess.
This year’s principal cast includes Craig Chalmers, star of the BBC’s 2007 talent search show Any Dream Will Do. Craig will be playing the part of Aladdin in the pantomime this year.
Craig took the lead role of Joseph in the touring production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which he played for nearly three years, and is recognised as one of the most successful actors in the role.
X-Factor contestant Jade Richards from Buckhaven, Fife is also set to guest star in Aladdin this year on Wednesday 21st December, in both a matinee and evening performance. Jade will be performing a couple of her favourite songs. Jade was one of the favourites from the start of the X-Factor competition after making judges Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh cry with her rendition of Adele’s Someone Like You.
