The Dunfermline Folk weekend is back again this year from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th October 2012, Ceilidh, Bands, sessions, something for all the family.

International fiddle workshop with Jenny Gustaffson and Andreas Bjørkås, Award winning fiddlers from Trondheim, Norway, and Nicola Auchnie, 2010 Glenfiddich Fiddle Champion. Come and play tunes and learn from these sensational fiddlers.

1.30pm Songs to Savour - Concert with Andy Shanks, award winning singer and songwriter from Angus, and Ken Campbell and Linsey Aitken, song guitar and cello duo from Loch Lomond. Small Dining Room, Glen Pavilion £6.00.

"The BIG Sing-a-long!", led by children and young people from The BIG Project Youth Choir in Broomhouse, Edinburgh and Kim Edgar. A collection will be taken for the Big Project Youth Choir. Glen Pavilion.

King Creosote Band with support by Stonedyke from Methil, and the Lennox Family in the Glen Pavilion King Creosote and his band have emerged from the East Neuk of Fife to challenge many of the standard ways of doing things in the ʻmusic industryʼ. His principal value has been the music, and the importance of maintaining a local base. And his music has brought him international fame, and a Mercury award nomination for his album Diamond Mines with Jon Hopkins. A night to celebrate King Creosoteʼs music in West Fife.

A rare chance to hear 3 of the finest young fiddlers in the traditions of Scottish, Norwegian and Swedish folk music and traditional Scottish songs sung in harmony by the sensational Lennox Family from Banff. Come and hear how music traditions are being carried into the next generation. £6.00
